Generally a Seller is under no obligation to disclose defects unless asked and may not be aware of any themselves so, there is therefore no guarantee of condition.
If you are borrowing from a Mortgage Lender to finance your purchase, then the Lender will normally obtain a Valuation Report. However, this is prepared for the Lender to enable an assessment to be made as to the adequacy of the property as security for the proposed loan. It is not a detailed survey as to the condition of the property.
