Gemma Sampson has always been quiet and hard-working, even at school. She sets herself high standards and enjoys a challenge. Gemma cares about her friends, family and her clients; she is a good listener with tact and integrity.
Gemma has lived in Bude all of her life and when she qualified as a Solicitor in 2002 it was important for her to work in the community in which she grew up.
Gemma's experience to date is as a successful Solicitor for both a local firm and one of the largest law firms in Cornwall. Wills, Powers of Attorney and Estate Administration is Gemma's particular area of expertise and - in dealing with clients - she is able to manage your estate and affairs with efficiency and sensitivity.
Gemma prides herself in being a specialist in Private Client work and is a full member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) (www.step.org) and Solicitors for the Elderly (SFE) (www.solicitorsfortheelderly.com). Gemma has completed the Association of Contentious Trust and Probate Specialists (ACTAPS) Diploma which ensures that she is competent to deal with even the most complex probate matters. Gemma ensures that she keeps up to date with changes in the law and she always substantially exceeds the minimum number of hours training required by the Solicitors Regulation Authority for Solicitors.
As well as being the Solicitor who cares enough to think of the detail and understand your unique personal situations, Gemma is also the owner of the firm. She took the natural step of setting up her own business so that she could establish a firm of Solicitors that was true to her strong set of professional values; she takes her responsibilities very seriously and will often go 'above and beyond' to ensure that a job is well done.
She does not want to charge for every question asked or every note taken but to have clients who are happy and will recommend her to friends and family.
Gemma believes that her firm is here to serve you and make, sometimes, difficult or complex matters less burdensome. She is aware that Wills, Powers of Attorney and Estate Administration can be an upsetting area of the law and she can empathise with her clients on a human level.
Above all, Gemma has a modern approach underpinned by traditional values.
Gemma can meet you face to face or is happy to talk over the phone, email or text to make the transaction easy as possible for you.
Gemma offers free initial advice to discuss your individual circumstances. Much of the work carried out is done on a fixed fee basis providing you with certainty from the beginning.
